I enjoyed your photos! That's a great shot of the young Maori boys goofing around. It was neat to see the photos of the city, too. (Is your camera a digital SLR?)
The weather looks absolutely gorgeous! The "watchburn" cracked me up--glad you are wearing a hat and sunscreen! Chicago has finally caught a break in the weather and nearly all our snow has melted in the last two days. Now that the temperatures are in the mid-40s, all the young men jogging along the beach are in shorts!
I'd like to hear more about Mia or other young New Zealanders you've met. BTW, what do you call someone from Christchurch--a Christchurcher?! Hope you have a not-too-stressful day today. The early weeks in a new place can be very stressful, but it gets better. I promise.
